What is Representation?

Our mission is to be the voice and influence of Northamptonshire’s business community and represent their views and priorities to government and decision makers. We aim to create an environment that aids and supports the continued success and growth of our members.

Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce acts as your voice to the policy-makers. Representing the interests of our members - we push for legislation that will make your business life easier and stimulate growth, and challenge legislation that holds you back. Our role is to explore and highlight issues that could and do hinder the continued economic growth, success and prosperity of Northamptonshire.

With colleagues at the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), we campaign nationally on the economy, reducing red tape and regulation, and encouraging enterprise. Locally, regionally and nationally, Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce acts on behalf of our businesses views, priorities and interests such as planning & growth, transport, Brexit and finance. Through our well established and strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers from Northamptonshire and Westminster, the Chamber is in a well respected and attractive position to give members a voice and insight into the issues affecting the business community in the region.

We talk to our members every day, listening to what issues are having an impact on their businesses and hearing their ideas and opinions. Get involved yourself by contacting us and we will endeavour to assist you with any issue having an impact on your business.

We’ll also help you with:

  • Northamptonshire Economy - through our Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), we feed into local and national government economic strategies, The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee and the OBR.
  • Politicians in your area - we have deep rooted partnerships with local MPs, council leaders and business enterprises so we can help you get in contact or act on your behalf to enact change.
