Poppy Design Studio are organising a “Community Litter Pick” as part of World Clean Up Day 2021.

The Victoria Street team based in Desborough are calling for members of the local community to give an hour of their time on Saturday 18th September to join them in participating in a community litter pick.

Over 50 million people from over 180 countries are estimated to be participating in the global event this year and, with the support of North Northants Council, the team look forward to leading this community initiative and doing their bit on a local level.

Managing Director Marie Baker said “We feel it’s important to live in a community with less discarded rubbish and we are excited to do our bit for the environment locally. We are looking forward to meeting new people who have already agreed to join us for the morning and we thank them ahead of the litter pick for getting involved.”

“We committed earlier this year to doing our bit for the community and environment locally as part of the Good Business Charter and this is part of our vision for the future as we, as businesses, play our part in becoming more environmentally focussed.”

By adding the litter pick as well, this gives us a stronger focus on the environment and doing our bit for future generations.”

It’s hoped that with a strong team of volunteers, the litter pick will become a regular event around Desborough which starts at 10.00 am on the day.
