Internet service provider WarwickNet is continuing its quest to bring poorly-connected business parks up to speed by making Northamptonshire one of its most connected counties in the UK.
Already providing high quality connections to 85 sites around the country, the superfast broadband provider will be installing an additional 10 cabinets this month at Moulton Park, Brackmills Industrial Estate, Sywell Airport Business Park, Earlstree Industrial Estate, Phoenix Parkway, Willowbrook East Industrial Estate and Kettering Business Park.
The installations are set to transform day-to-day business for up to 300 firms based across the parks by vastly improving their broadband connectivity, with all sites able to receive download speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s, courtesy of WarwickNet’s Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) and Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) connections.
Ben King, CEO at WarwickNet, which is based in Coventry, said: “We have already connected a number of Northamptonshire business parks and we are looking forward to being able to provide business-grade broadband for even more struggling organisations at these additional sites. “We’ve worked alongside Northamptonshire County Council to ensure businesses receive a dependable service which will see all organisations gain access to the connectivity they need to grow – and help boost the county’s economy.”
Sarah Naylor, Northamptonshire County Council’s programme overview manager for broadband, said:“We are pleased WarwickNet is continuing to invest in the county. High-speed business connectivity is crucial to Northamptonshire’s economy and can help transform business opportunities and growth.”
Northamptonshire sites already connected by WarwickNet include Grange Park, Weldon North and South Industrial Estates, Waterside and Rushmills, Corby Gate Business Park, Kettering Venture Park and Telford Way Industrial Estate.
