Sunday 12 May
This year we are welcoming experienced local forager Richard Mawby to Bay Tree Cottage for a half day Spring Foraging workshop where you can discover the abundance of edible spring plants, herbs and food that can form a healthy addition to your diet.
The course will start with an introduction to foraging and some background on Richard’s fascinating lifestyle, which incorporates not only wild food but also self-sufficiency and raw natural eating. Then it will be time to don our wellies and take a walk to see what we can find!
During the walk, you will learn how to confidently identify several edible plants and will be introduced to many more. After our foraging is complete, we will head back to Bay Tree Cottage where Richard will show you how your foraging finds can be incorporated into your meals, adding a pure and natural flavour. The number of people on this workshop will be limited to 12.
