GSSArchitecture are pleased to announce that planning permission has been successfully achieved for the redevelopment and extension to Rotherfield Sixth Form at the Royal Latin School, Buckinghamshire.
The development will provide a modern, flexible and professional working environment together with new dining facilities and a new main focal entrance point. Additionally, the scheme will accommodate 400 post-16 students, and will deliver more learning resources for both collaborative and independent learning, incorporating sufficient circulation to support the social and flexible working environment.
GSS are providing a full one-stop-shop service for the project, which is due to start on site in January 2017 with completion scheduled for Summer 2017.
David Hudson, Headteacher of Royal Latin School said, “We are very excited to finally be embarking on a long-overdue refurbishment of Rotherfield House. These essential works will not only enable us to create a much-needed modern study environment for our large 6th form, but will also enable us to renovate and weatherproof one of the most loved and important buildings on the Royal Latin site.
We are very much looking forward to enjoying the revitalised building.”
Tom Lyons, Partner of GSS added, “It is great news to have received planning approval for the conversion and major extensions to this historic building. As the latest part of the GSS masterplan for the development of Royal Latin, this will future support the excellent teaching and learning on the campus.”
