The organisers behind a community garden project in Northamptonshire are encouraging people to help them secure funding by taking part in public vote.
The Green Patch in Kettering is run by Groundwork Northamptonshire, a community, youth and environmetal regeneration charity working across the whole of Northamptonshire. Groundwork is bidding for two grants from - Jewson Building Communities fund and Aviva Community Fund.
A spokesperson from the charity, said: “The Green Patch is a brilliant community gardening project in Kettering that has be managed by Groundwork Northamptonshire since 2007.
“The Green Patch runs a number of services for adults and children from all backgrounds and abilities which focus around growing your food, healthy lifestyles, cooking, exploring, looking after animals and wildlife, arts and crafts and basic DIY.
“As part of our on-going management of the site and services, Groundwork is actively seeking funding to purchase a new building as our current hut is falling apart, as well as trying to secure funds to support our volunteering day on a Tuesday.
“We are currently entered in to two funding pots where we need people to vote, and this is where you, your colleagues, family and friends can help! Please vote for our projects by following the links below.”
