Public exhibition showcases the work of postgraduate Fine Art students

An exhibition featuring the culmination of work, theories and thinking from MA Fine Art students at the University of Northampton will open to the public this week.

Convergence will see 14 artists showcase the individual methodologies, experimentation and exploration they have studied throughout their time on the postgraduate course.

Dr Craig Staff, MA Fine Art programme leader at the University of Northampton, said: “The exhibition showcases a breadth of enquiry, with students producing work across various media and disciplines. Although individual students’ practices engage with differing issues, themes and ideas, what remains consistent are marked levels of professionalism, creativity and innovation.”

Convergence opens with a preview evening, from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday 17 September, in the Walgrave building, St George’s Avenue, NN2 6JD. The exhibition is then open daily, between 10am and 4pm, until Tuesday 24 September.
