Northampton marketing agency raises £500 for local hospice with sell out event

Onefoursix marketing agency based in Northampton has raised £500 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice following a sell out networking event. The marketing agency, based in Moulton Park, created their Lunch and Learn events back in 2016 which have been popular ever since covering a wide variety of topics including GDPR, SEO and digital marketing. However this month was a sell out with Instagram tips and tricks for businesses.

September’s session was hosted by onefoursix’s digital marketing executive, Lisa Scott. Lisa is also the editor of Northampton Life and Inside Cambridge and runs a Northamptonshire lifestyle blog, The Beauty Type. After running her own businesses through the platform, she wanted to educate people on the tips and tricks that are often forgotten when it comes to using the platform as a small business.

The event raised £500 for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity which provides hospice services to Northamptonshire patients and with this money, they have managed to provide a days hospice to one patient. It goes to show how much is needed to make this service run as fantastically as it does.

Lisa Scott, host of the event said: “We’re so pleased it was such a success, it was our first ever event to sell out so its shown there’s been a gap in the market for a full Instagram session. It’s something we’re keen to provide more training on in the future as there was even a waiting list! Of course, we’re extremely proud to have raised this sum from ticket sales alone and this goes on top of our donations from other events we run each month too.”

Each Lunch and Learn session is based on an online marketing query, issue or platform and allows businesses to learn more about their marketing efforts. The lunch is supplied by local catering company, I Cook You Serve. The events are held at the Cynthia Spencer Business hub in Moulton Park and all profits from ticket sales goes straight to the charity.
