Laura Richardson-Cheater, Managing Partner at The Richardson Partnership for Care in Northampton, has been awarded a Highly Commended certificate at the UK Director of the Year Awards run by the Institute of Directors.
She was one of only two people from the East Midlands to receive a presentation.
Ron Lynch, East Midlands Chairman of the IoD, praised Laura’s achievement, saying: “Laura took over a successful family business from her parents during some of the most difficult trading conditions ever experienced. She rose to the challenge and has been very successful in increasing the size, turnover and profitability of the business.”
The Richardson Partnership provides specialist residential care and rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury and separate residential care for adults with learning difficulties.
It has five care homes in Northampton, delivering a very high standard of care, clinical psychology support and rehabilitation services through its multi-disciplinary team of therapists.
Ron added: “Laura recognises the important contribution made by her team and has always ensured that everyone is able to contribute to maintaining the excellent care services that the business has been built upon. She leads her team effectively and has maintained a strong focus on developing and implementing strategies for growth that should ensure that the business enjoys continuing success.”
