Finedon based photographer Elise has just had an image selected to go into the final judging of the prestigious Xperience Portrait Awards.
In the third round of judging it was revealed that Elise of Photo-times photography was picked as a finalist in the category of Top Dog, to add to the two that were picked in the second round in the categories Newborn and Under 5’s. In each of the categories there is a £500 prize for her client, as well as the title of photographer of the year up for grabs.
Mark Cleghorn, training director of The Xperience Group and multi award winning photographer said: “The standard of photography in this year’s awards is amazing, and to think that all the images entered are from real client shoots on the day and under the pressure of the moment.” He also commented: “The overall winners will be announced in November and to be honest I can’t wait to see who rises to the top, it’s going to be a fierce fight for the mixed judging panel made up of professionals and consumers.”
Elise Northfield who runs a portrait studio in Finedon, specialises in maternity, newborn, under 5’s and dogs, and for the past three years has been developing new styles as well as advanced lighting and photography techniques to give her clients a new direction in photography. The photographer said: “I was so excited when I heard the news and my clients where over the moon when I told them, and fingers crossed for the final.”
Elise commented: “When you love what you do it can never be classed as a job, and striving for a better customer experience and seeing the results on their walls makes my career even more fantastic.”
