Holiday Inn Express Kettering announced as nominee for Business of the Year!

Holiday Inn Express Kettering are proud to announce that we are nominees for Business of the Year at this year’s Kettering Awards. However, to move forward as finalists they need votes.

Voting takes place up until 30th June. From the 1st July, finalists will be announced and tickets will go on sale for the awards ceremony and the hotel will be attending to help celebrate the local business community.

Some of you may not know, but as a Holiday Inn Express branded hotel, they are part of a franchise under licence from Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG). They are owned by Hotel Development Kettering whilst managed by Hospitality First.

So why do they think they deserve Business of the Year?

The hotel is set within a prime location between Corby and Kettering just off the A14. They have 120 bedrooms and 4 meeting rooms that have all been recently refurbished with an investment of over £500,000.

The customers are the heart and soul of the hotel, without them there would be no business. They always want customers stay to go smoothly so they listen to all feedback through face to face conversations, online reviews and feedback surveys.

Whilst the customers are the heart and soul of the business, the staff are the reason why many of their guests return. The team at the hotel are known for their great management practices and have an exemplary health and safety record for both staff and guests. The employees also have a chance to learn and progress within the company should they wish to do so. Many of the staff have progressed into senior positions, whilst many over the years have progressed into management roles in other locations.

Over the last 18 months the hotel has also joined many local networking groups to help further promote the hotel to the local business community. This has strengthened the hotels opportunity to work with local business? Did you know that the hotel used local decorators, plumbers, electricians and many more local businesses where possible for their recent refurbishment? The hotel also like to work with local business by offering discounted corporate rates and meeting room hire where they can.

The hotel has overcome many challenges since they opened back in 2009. They like to see any obstacle as a challenge and to face it head on to help ensure that they have continual growth. The hard work has paid off as the hotel celebrate record results for the first quarter of 2019 and are approaching their 10th year anniversary this summer.
