Former cabinet minister turned author Jonathan Aitken is coming to Northampton next month.

The ex-MP, who is now an author, broadcaster, columnist, lecturer and campaigner for prison reform, has had one of the most high profile and colourful careers in British public life.

He will be coming to the Deco, in Abington Square on Tuesday 5 November, between 12pm and 2pm, to talk about his life and sign copies of his new book Margaret Thatcher, Power and Personality.

Jonathan is best known for his spell in prison for perjury in 1999 where he served seven months of an 18-month prison sentence. While in prison Jonathan became a born again Christian and on his release, published the book Porridge and Passion.

The visit in Northampton is a networking event in association with Waterstone’s bookshop.

There will also be an opportunity for busineses to promote themselves by using the literature table.

Lunch and drinks are included. For more info and to register, visit
