Northamptonshire Chamber members and staff managed to raise £500 for its Chamber Charity of the Year, Northampton Door to Door Services, across a two day period filled with Christmas cheer last week.
Wednesday 13 December saw Chamber staff get into the Christmas spirit with a series of activities and challenges, including a mince pie bake off, raffle and Christmas quiz. In total, the team, who also paid £1 each to wear mufti with a festive twist, managed to raise £85.
The following day saw the Chamber’s Charity Christmas Lunch event for members take place at Whittlebury Hall & Spa. More than 70 members enjoyed a three course lunch and heard a speech from Nick Johnston, performance director at Northampton Saints. Following the meal and speech, a raffle raised a staggering £415. Seven guests took home prizes that had been donated by local businesses. These included a spa package at Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, a bottle of champagne, six bottles of wine, three month-long gym passes, round of golf, Christmas hamper, and a Northampton Saints shirt and tickets to a game.
Northamptonshire Chamber would like to thank all of its members and team for their generosity and wish them a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
