Health and social care professionals who want to take their first step on the research ladder can learn everything they need to know at an open event being held by the University of Northampton this month.
‘So you think you want to do a doctorate?’ is geared toward people who are considering applying for a research degree (PhD, Professional Doctorate or MPhil) within the University’s Faculty of Health and Society.
Attendees will have the chance to hear from seasoned supervisors, the University’s Graduate School and current students studying for a research degree within the Faculty.
They will also be able to talk about some of the key questions when considering whether to apply for study at this level, and the range of support that the University offers its research students.
Michelle Pyer, Post Graduate Research Lead in the Faculty of Health and Society, said: “The University of Northampton is committed to supporting new and creative research projects that will enhance and benefit peoples’ lives and we work hard to ensure that students on our programmes receive the support they need to reach their full potential.
