Northamptonshire ACRE (NACRE) is a county-wide, independent charity that works with rural communities across Northamptonshire on a variety of projects that help villages to be sustainable. The charity is based at the Hunsbury Hill Farmstead, a Grade II listed site situated on 13 acres of woodland, gardens and grounds on the outskirts of Northampton. You may know the trading arm, The Barns at Hunsbury Hill, that runs events such as weddings at their lovely site. Any surplus funding from the events comes back to the charity to help them in their work.
NACRE is embarking on an ambitious project that will include the restoration of the various buildings and the improvement of the land so that Hunsbury Hill Farmstead becomes a hub for the local community, a beacon for members across the county and a centre for action with rural communities.
They are looking for potential supporters of this project who may be able to guide and advise them in tackling this large project. They are not looking for your money! But would love your support, your knowledge and your ideas. Interested? If so please accept their invitation to a short presentation on 14th May at the Hunsbury Hill Farmstead to find out more.
There will be a brief introduction to the work of the charity, a short tour of the Farmstead followed by a presentation on what the future might entail and how you could be a part of that. Wine and canapes will also be available. If you would like to attend, please call: 01604 765888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to secure a place.
