Chamber member Trafalgar Fire is partnering with Safety Management UK (SMUK), and has welcomed the company to share its offices on Moulton Park in Northampton.
The partnership comes as new figures from an SMUK study revealed that out of 1,078 fire safety audits carried out in Northampton, 539 were found to be unsatisfactory. The research also revealed that Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service served 39 enforcement notices and 19 prohibition notices over that period in the 12 months to March.
Trafalgar Fire and SMUK are joining forces to warn local companies not to risk lives by putting off fire risk assessments or cutting back on vital safety maintenance in a bid to save money during tough economic times.
John De Groot, general manager of Trafalgar Fire, said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with Safety Management (UK) and helping enable them to open a new office in Northampton.
“The two businesses share similar values and operate in the same marketplace. We are now able to offer everything a business of any size might need, from a fire safety perspective, through our partnership.”
Brian Gregory, managing director of SMUK, said: “We are delighted to be opening our new office in Northampton. The survey shows there is a clear need for the vital services we are able to offer.
“We are also proud to be partnering with a well-respected business like Trafalgar, to offer a comprehensive range of fire safety solutions to businesses across the region.”
