People living in the St David’s area of Northampton are invited to take part in a week of action organised by the Northampton Community Safety Partnership.
The week-long community focus will bring a whole host of events to the area including self-defence classes, well-being sessions and a community litter-pick. Budding young detectives can help Northamptonshire Police solve a case as part of a crime mystery workshop and the RSPCA will be offering reduced-price dog microchipping.
Councillor Anna King, cabinet member for community safety and engagement at Northampton Borough Council, said: “The focus for the week is helping people to stay safe and healthy so there are loads of different activities where people can come along to get advice or just have some fun.
“We’ve held weeks of action in other areas and it’s a really good way to bring communities together. I hope that everyone who lives in the St David’s area will get involved.”
The week of action kicks off with a fun day at St David’s Church Rooms on Sunday 1 April.
