Head to Kettering’s Manor House Museum from 29th April-8th July to find a colourful exhibition which tells the story of how the people of Kettering have enjoyed the water.
Featuring a beautiful collection of vintage swimwear, on loan from Southend on Sea, and using local objects from the museum collection, the display explores day trips to the sea, boating on the lake and local swimming successes.
There will be an opportunity for visitors to share their own memories, join in with the family friendly activities and create their very own seaside snapshot souvenir.
Guy Holloway, Head of Corporate & Cultural Services at Kettering Borough Council, said: “This is a fascinating and colourful exhibition. As well as being interesting and educational it also helps get you in that holiday mood!”
