Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce is celebrating after walking away with two accolades in last night’s national Chambers Awards 2015, organised by the British Chambers of Commerce(BCC).
The team from the Chamber, which also incorporates its associate organisation Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, attended a gala awards ceremony at The Brewery, in London.
At the ceremony Northamptonshire Chamber was presented with the accolades “Excellence in Membership Services” and “Chamber of the Year” for its strong policy of continuous improvement in services and training, and for its increase in membership every month for the past two years.
Northamptonshire Chamber has become the first chamber in the history of the awards to win the “Excellence in Membership Services” title two years running.
Organised by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), the event is considered to be one of the UK’s hotly contested business awards that recognises and rewards business success across the UK and the work of 52 accredited local chambers of commerce. Each year the BCC opens four categories to local chambers.
Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “We are thrilled and proud to win “Excellence in Membership Services” for the second year running and “Chamber of the Year” in the Chamber Awards 2015.
“Winning these awards at national level is a testament to the hard work and contribution of each and every member of the team.
“It also reflects the high quality service we provide as well as the important and diverse role we provide in the local, regional and national business community.
“I would personally like to thank our entire team, the Board for their support and guidance, local partners and stakeholders and our members and businesses for their support in the last 12 months. This award is well deserved and would not be possible without everyone’s support. Thank you again.”
