Double up on your skills during Learning at Work Week

Posted: 10/05/17 by Klood Digital

The unique partnership between Milton Keynes College and Linford Wood-based digital marketing trainers Klood Academy has confirmed its support to the national Learning at Work Week from 15 to 21 May 2017 with an exclusive “doubling up” offer.

Organised by the Campaign for Learning, the Learning at Work Week aims to spotlight the importance and benefits of education and development at work, promoting opportunities to learn and upskill for employees.

Milton Keynes College and Klood Academy’s partnership will support this initiative by offering the opportunity for all courses booked and paid for between now and 19 May to be doubled up, receiving a second course* at no additional charge. This means that delegates can either choose to buddy up with a colleague on the same course, or improve their own learning by booking another subject to be taken at a later date.

Any of the nine one-day courses in the Klood Academy prospectus are valid in the Learning at Work Week offer, and delegates can attend at any published date during 2017.

Matthew Kay, Head of Klood Digital, commented: “Our anecdotal analysis of local small to medium-sized businesses and marketers has revealed many gaps in both digital and essential business skills. Our in-house Academy has been delivering courses in a number of these subjects since October last year, so we are ideally placed to help further bridge the knowledge divide.

“We are firm advocates of upskilling employees to enhance their and their company’s performance, so we are delighted to support the Campaign for Learning in promoting this initiative and support local businesses by allowing them to double up their knowledge.”

Chris Coghlan, Head of Business Engagement at Milton Keynes College, added: “Through working with a wide range of businesses and individuals across Milton Keynes, we are in a strong position to identify opportunities for developing the key skills which will have a huge influence on the economy of the future.

“Thanks to our partnership with Klood Academy, we are uniquely positioned to make a significant impact on the meeting of those skills requirements and pass on the expertise of our tutors.

“Learning at Work Week is a particularly exciting event, allowing everyone involved to raise the profile of continuing education in the workplace and encouraging people from all walks of life to grow their individual skillsets.”
