Novacroft has announced that its Charity of the Year 2010 is The Lowdown, based in Northampton.
The Lowdown is a voluntary organisation providing a multi-disciplinary support service to young people aged 12 to 25 years.
Novacroft team members voted to support The Lowdown as their Charity of the Year 2010 following cross-company voting, and The Lowdown is delighted to be gaining Novacroft’s support.
The company’s fundraising for The Lowdown began with a charity curry night, where a fundraising auction of a Brawn GP cap, signed by the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, Jenson Button, was held. The winning auction bid of £200 was submitted by Neil Kitchener, a Director at Impact Recruitment.
Novacroft’s fundraising will go directly to help The Lowdown and their work in the Northampton community. Other fundraising activities during 2010 to date have included pancake day themed activities around the office, and a team member successfully completing a half-marathon in aid of The Lowdown. Total fundraising to date is over £600, with many more activities planned throughout 2010.
