Services relating to the investigation of complaints / allegations about sustainability issues in the LOCOG supply chain - Opportunity in Brief

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), invite expressions of interest for the supply of services relating to the investigation of complaints / allegations about sustainability issues in its supply chain.

LOCOG is responsible for preparing and staging the 2012 Games. As LOCOG’s procurement focuses on the needs of the Games themselves, it will cover a wide range of goods and services from temporary venues, sports equipment, merchandise produced under licence, temporary commodities and overlay for the venues, through to catering services and other labour provision. Some initial contracts have been let but the majority will be let from early 2010 onwards.

It is highly likely that there will be complaints or allegations made by NGOs, the media and workers in regard to labour standards in the LOCOG supply chain. LOCOG is therefore looking to appoint a company (or companies) to work closely with its Procurement, Retail Licensing, Workforce and Sustainability teams to develop and implement an Investigation Process in respect to any Complaints or Allegations it receives about its supply chain relating to sustainability issues.
