Cobblers announce matchday measures to cope with growing demand for tickets

Posted: 22/03/10 by Northampton Town Football Club

With demand for tickets at Sixfields ever increasing, and in particular the period between 2pm and 3pm proving very busy at the Sixfields Box Office, Northampton Town Football Club has announced that it will only deal with ticket sales for that particular day’s game for supporters paying by debit or credit card in the 60 minutes leading up to kick off.

This decision has been made in response to the high demand for tickets from the box office, particularly in the run up to kick off. It is hoped that this will cut down on waiting times for all supporters and allow them to access the ground quicker.

Supporters looking to pay cash for tickets can do so at the portacabins for West and Alwyn Hargrave Stand tickets and can pay on the turnstile for the Dave Bowen Stand.

All other transactions, including season tickets and tickets for future matches will be dealt with at the club shop either after the game or during the week.

Supporters looking to attend the game on Saturday are advised they can cut down on their waiting time by pre-booking their tickets online via or by calling 01604 683777.
