Lakelands Hospice is an independent charity committed to delivering the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer, heart failure and other life-limiting illnesses.
This is why Amaray want to help. It costs in excess of £515,000 per annum to meet the needs of those among the community suffering from life-limiting illnesses such as Cancer, COPD, Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease. The hospice is entirely funded by voluntary donations and support from the local community.
Amaray aims to raise as much money as possible as they support the great work they do for the local community. With this in mind, 12 Amaray employees have committed to the challenge of climbing 3 mountains (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowden), hiking 24 miles…within 24 hours!
This is no easy task. The employees will complete vigorous training activities in preparation for the challenge on 7th September 2018. If you would like to sponsor the team, please visit their Just Giving page. Thank you.
If you would like to follow the team’s training activities and progress, they will be updating their Just Giving and Facebook pages as and when. Please follow them and share their progress for such a worthwhile cause.
