Rima Kirday (technical fabric specialist) and Shannon Howe (nutritional therapist from I Cook You Serve) will speak on the benefits of using healthy and environmentally friendly fabrics and food. What we wear and eat has a connection with various health issues, such as allergies and rheumatism. It can also play a part in wider environmental issues, such as the effects of GMO cash-crops on nature, or plastic pollution from artificial fabrics.
Rima’s Studio will be presenting ’Healthy Fabrics for a Healthy Home’.
Rima is a Technical Fabric Designer, who only work with 100% natural fabrics in producing curtains, bed linen, tablecloths and clothing (and anything else around the home). The presentation will focus on the benefits of healthy and environmentally friendly fabrics.
I Cook You Serve are a catering and Nutritional Therapy business. Shannon will be presenting ’Dressing your body inside and out’. Shannon is a Nutritional Therapist. She works with clients on their eating habits and improving the nutritional value of their meals. The presentation will focus on the connection between what we put in our bodies and what we put on our bodies.
The event will be held at Heyford Books, an independent bookshop just outside Nether Heyford, and off the A5.
