All responsible, non-essential firms should now close and access government support to help limit the spread of the virus

- Help for the self-employed

Government must urgently provide support for the 5 million self-employed people in the UK, many of whom have seen their livelihoods vanish overnight.

- Support already announced needs to reach businesses on the ground this week

Businesses are facing significant cashflow challenges and many will be making critical decisions this week regarding their operations. It is vital that government support reaches firms on the ground as soon as possible.
