Key Messages from today’s British Chambers of Commerce CEO Conference call:
1) Business communities will need more detail on the phased easing of restrictions.
Companies will do everything they can to protect employees and customers, maintain social distancing and operate successfully as more sections of the economy are permitted to re-open. But businesses will need to see detailed plans for a carefully phased restart which takes account of public health evidence and the interdependencies between work, childcare and travel.
2) Firms need workplace guidance in good time ahead of any safe reopening of premises.
It is imperative that companies have detailed advice on what will need to change in the workplace, including clarity on the use of PPE. - https://lnkd.in/eHEEJim
3) Companies need clarity on the future of business support schemes.
Businesses will need government support schemes that have saved so many livelihoods to be extended and made more flexible for as long as they are required to support a phased reopening of the economy.
