As a champion for business and a supporter of the local economy, Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce is firmly committed to assisting companies and entrepreneurs.
When I visit or talk to firms, I am regularly find myself inspired and amazed by Northamptonshire companies that are making a huge difference to their industries and to the wider business landscape.
And the Chamber is always thrilled to be involved in celebrating the success of businesses across the county.
Awards ceremonies are vital in helping to bring recognition regionally and nationally to companies that make a significant contribution to the local economy and their industry.
The potential gains from entering awards
It is also a chance for firms to raise their profile, which we have had the privilege of experiencing ourselves after winning Excellence in Membership Services and Chamber of the Year in the national 2015 Chamber Business Awards.
Deciding which categories to enter could be challenging but it’s important to consider the potential gains from your time and effort.
The application process forces you to re-evaluate your business from a different perspective and see what aspect of the business is making you stand out from the competition ie innovation, growth etc.
Winning or even being a finalist in an award can increase brand awareness, increased credibility, employee motivation and much more.
