The firm’s charity work continued throughout 2018. In March, Sue Owens and Clare de Banke collected for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal in Northampton’s Grosvenor Centre.
Sue and Clare stood out from the crowd wearing the bright colours of spring to raise much needed funds to provide end-of-life care for the terminally ill in their own homes.
The appeal, which has run since 1986, is the charity’s biggest annual campaign and each March millions of people across the country make a small donation and wear a daffodil to support this fantastic cause.
In May, a team from the firm, together with some of their children, took part in the 5km Colour Run at Overstone Park in Northampton to raise money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice and in November took part in a Corporate Dodgeball competition for the same cause.
A Macmillan Coffee Morning in September raised an impressive £550. Staff and partners at the firm donned their aprons and baked all sorts of biscuits and cakes to sell to guests. A Biscuit Bake Off had 12 worthy entries which were judged by Practice Manager, Helen Penny.
