Definition of Lobbying: “an effort to persuade a politician, the government or an official group that something should or should not happen”
Definition of Representation “the privilege of having someone speak with authority on your behalf”
Northamptonshire Chamber acts on behalf of members and represents their interests, either as individual companies or as a whole membership.
In addition to contributing to national campaigns about red tape and regulation, the Chamber represents the views of the business community on many issues. The Northamptonshire Chamber represents your business at all levels. Issues such as improving transport links within the county, tackling business crime and influencing the Milton Keynes-South Midlands strategy, all of which will drive the future development in the county.
We also act as a business representative on numerous local and regional committees and partnerships. Our dedicated Policy Manager will also represent members individually when a specific issue is having an impact on their business.
How can I have my say?
We talk to our members every day, this naturally helps us gauge views on business issues, but you can involve yourself further by taking part in:
On-line questionnaires
Olympics - business opportunities
you are not just restricted to these methods, you can raise any issue you like with our policy team.
