London 2012 Olympics - Opportunities for Northants Business
Chair of the London 2012 Games Organising Committee Sebastian Coe has confirmed its vision "to stage inspirational Games that capture the imagination of young people around the world and leave a lasting legacy."
That legacy will be built on the outstanding achievements of athletes from the around the world, but also on the strength and abilities of UK plc. So how could your business be involved in delivering the London 2012 Olympics? The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), which will build all the Olympics venues and infrastructure, and the London 2012 organising committee, which will organise the actual games, have a website explaining all about what contracts are being issued (including sub-contracts), when they are being procured, and how to tender for them. Use this link to view the current tender opportunities.
There is an online e-Tendering and planning package to help companies compete for up to 2,000 contracts throughout the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games and a “Future Opportunities” section, giving advance notice of contracts ranging from work designing sports venues and landscaping to providing occupational health services and logistical support to construction projects.
A further service will be launched to support businesses, particularly small and medium sized, to access further opportunities to supply and subcontract to the ODA and LOCOG's main contractors and their supply chain.
