The Edwin Starr Band comes to Wicksteed Park
‘Angelo Starr and The Team’ will be performing at the Wicksteed Pavilion on Saturday 20 November 2010.
Angelo, brother of the late Edwin Starr, is a musician of excellent pedigree having toured for many years with Edwin and more recently with Lemar and Alexander O'Neal, with many more credits along the way. He has first-class production, arranging and musicianship abilities as is indicated by his contribution to many artistes work. When leading The Team Angelo is at home with a top-rated band of musicians that include saxophonist James Renford, a stalwart of Pato Banton's band who has also toured with Musical Youth. As Edwin Starr's backing band, The Team have played all over Europe and as far afield as Saudi Arabia. They put together an infectious soul/funk audiovisual experience that will defy the audience to remain seated. They are after all a "team", pulling together keys, brass, percussion, guitars and vocals in classic R&B style.

Also, back by popular demand is the return of the Chicken & Chips Basket Meal included in the price, and some drinks can now be pre-ordered for the VIP tables too. All of this plus disco makes this an event not to be missed.”
