Northamptonshire Chamber launches Business Briefings series
Northamptonshire Chamber is launching a series of Business Briefings to help local firms to maximise their potential.
The new initiative will see Northamptonshire Chamber host several bite-sized morning seminars on a variety of important business matters.
The first in the series will take place on Tuesday 21st February 2012, during which Keith Turner, Senior Partner at Turner Coulston Solicitors, will help business owners to prepare their business to survive disaster.
The session, entitled Strategic Business Advice to Survive Disaster, will run from 8.30am to 10.30am and includes a buffet breakfast.
Open to both members and non members of the Chamber, the briefing aims to encourage business owners to take action in the good times to see them through the bad times. It will cover topics such as contract protection advice, shareholder agreements, bad debt, ‘the battle of the forms’, liquidation, the incorporation of new companies and much more.
“It has never been easier to go bust,” said Keith Turner. “There are so many things which can make this happen and many of them are beyond a company’s control. Now is the time to put in place as many strategies as possible so that assets are preserved and business owners do not lose their homes. It is surprising how much can be done, with a little time.”
Tracey Branson, Head of Operations at Northamptonshire Chamber, added: “In the current economic climate, with many well-known brands and businesses going to the wall, it is sensible to take steps to make sure that your business is protected against any potential disaster.
“The Business Briefing sessions are a great way of dispensing important and valuable business information in a bite-sized fashion, without infringing on the working day too much.”
A second Business Briefing with a Tax Year End theme is due to take place in March.
