Lord Green invites businesses to March event to learn about Exporting for Growth

The Prime Minister and Lord Green, Minister for Trade and Investment, have launched National Challenge - Exporting for Growth, a major initiative to increase the number of companies that export.

The aim of the challenge is to boost the number of SMEs that export - setting the target of getting up to 100,000 SMEs to either start exporting for the first time or spread to new markets over the next four or five years.

This national challenge has been implemented because boosting SME exports is crucial to strengthening the UK’s trade performance and creating jobs through trade and investment.

Lord Green would like to invite businesses to attend an event about the National Challenge - Exporting for Growth on Thursday 1 March 2012 in Loughborough.

Hosted by UKTI, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and supported by HSBC and PwC, those that attend will hear first-hand from East Midlands businesses that have successfully exported, continue to grow and succeed in a variety of different markets.

To find out more about this free event, see the event flyer. Registrations are direct at: www.regionalexportforgrowth.com . If you have any questions, please contact the UKTI event support team on 0115 947 5666.
