China-UK Intercultural Business Communication Workshop to take place in Leicester
Does your business operate in a multicultural environment? Does your message sometimes get lost in translation to your Chinese colleagues/suppliers/customers? Would you like to manage your business more effectively in the cross-cultural business environment?
Come to the half day workshop on the Intercultural Communication and Business Engagement with China workshop organised by De Montfort University on Thursday 1 March 2012, and learn of the outcomes and research findings to improve your business communication in the multicultural environment.
The Intercultural Business Communication Research is funded by China-UK PMI2 project with support from China Business Association. Prof Lixian Jin, Dr Victoria Zhou and the research team based in China have interviewed a number of Chinese businesses operating in the UK/other countries and UK companies in China/other countries and gained insights of the challenges and practices in the business operations.
The workshop will bring together business, communication and international expertise to your business for a competitive edge in the global market. You will
- Share best practice in dealing with intercultural issues in business communication
- Network with like-minded Sino-British professionals, researchers and global businesses
- Participate in an interactive excise to analyse real business cases
The half-day workshop takes place at the privileged Trinity House and will start with a hot buffet lunch. Registration is free to international businesses but places are limited.
