Breakfast with business leaders in the Enterprise Zone
Business leaders in the Enterprise Zone are being invited to a breakfast meeting to discuss how the Enterprise Zone will benefit their business.
On Wednesday 1 February business leaders will have the chance to find out more about how Northampton is positioning itself to become the new home for innovation and high performance engineering. Building on the strong reputation of Motorsport Valley the new Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone is set to become a hotbed for small and medium sized companies to grow and thrive.
The breakfast meeting will be an opportunity for businesses to find out more about the Enterprise Zone, what it means to be a part of it and what plans there are going forward. It will also be the chance for business leaders to meet with other professionals working within the Enterprise Zone and discuss the advantages in setting up a Business Forum to make it easier for businesses to work together and form a business community.
Dr Ann Limb OBE, chair of SEMLEP said: "We see our Enterprise Zone as a means of harnessing the skills and knowledge of local businesses to create a dynamic business community that will generate opportunities for hundreds of new small and medium sized businesses that will create thousands of jobs. But this is not just about new businesses, there are opportunities for our existing businesses to grow and prosper. So, we are looking to get business leaders from across the waterside area involved so they are in the best possible position to benefit from everything our Enterprise has to offer."
Councillor Tim Hadland, Northampton Borough Council's cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: "With the backing of a strong partnership of businesses, local authorities and other organisations such as the University of Northampton our Enterprise Zone will be a catalyst for growth for our town and the south east midlands. Building a business community is an important step in creating the right environment for new and existing businesses.
"I hope that as many business leaders as possible attend this event to find out more about what the Enterprise Zone means for their business."
The event is being held in the Auditorium at Cosworth Ltd on St James Mill Road from 8am to 9am on Wednesday 1 February.
