University to hold corporate leadership event next week
The University of Northampton is running a special event on Thursday 11 February for regional businesses to have their say on the current state of corporate leadership in the global marketplace.
‘Business at a Crossroads: The Crisis of Corporate Leadership’ is the first of a new series of CEO-level events being run in partnership between The University of Northampton and the Institute of Directors.
The early evening event, running from 6pm–8:30pm, will feature commentary from management writer and author, Tom Lloyd. A former editor of Financial Weekly and Management Today, Tom’s books cover challenging topics head-on, and his latest – also titled ‘Business at a Crossroads’ - is no exception.
Opening the evening, Tom will stress the view in his book that big businesses have caused markets to spiral out of control. His presentation will be followed by a Q&A session between an expected audience of 50, and a panel of senior business leaders.
John Jones of The University of Northampton, explained: “This will be a unique opportunity for company directors to open 2010 by meeting peers from a variety of businesses, to discuss key challenges faced by their respective sectors and share ideas on solutions.
“The occasion will also offer opportunities for delegates to develop new contacts in their supply chain within a professional setting, facilitated by two of the County’s leading business support organisations.”
