Seeking your views on South Northamptonshire Draft Economic Development Strategy

Businesses in South Northamptonshire are being asked for their views on District Council's draft Economic Development Strategy 2010-14. The strategy provides an overview of the current issues faced by the District and the actions needed to address them. It includes descriptions of how the towns of Brackley and Towcester will develop over the coming years, as well as plans to support rural businesses and increase tourism.

The Strategy has the following 6 key themes:

  • People and Workforce
  • Business Growth and Job Creation
  • Market Towns
  • A Sustainable Rural Economy
  • Tourism
  • Housing and Transport

A copy of the full strategy can be seen here, so that you can consider the areas of interest to you. The Chamber Policy Manager will be writing to Members in the South Northants, to ask for your views on the document. In addition, the Council would like residents and businesses to complete and return the consultation questionnaire by 11th January 2010 to claire.bambury@southnorthants.gov.uk.
