Respond to our latest QES to advise new Government on forthcoming Budget
The new Conservative/Liberal Democrats coalition Government is now getting down to business, announcing daily its various plans and initiatives to tackle the nation's massive debt.
Good news is that George Osborne, the new Chancellor, has already contacted the Chambers of Commerce nationally for our views on tackling the deficit - a positive early sign of how much influence the national Chamber network will have on shaping new Government policy.
So, as usual, Northamptonshire Chamber wants to know how business is faring for you? Last quarter’s economic survey results (Q1 2010) showed Northamptonshire’s manufacturers doing better for a second quarter in a row, but things still looking challenging for the county’s services sector businesses, which may have been caused by all the uncertainty around the election.
This quarter, in addition to the usual questions on how sales and orders are going and your cashflow experiences, etc, we will be asking for your thoughts on what should be in the Emergency Budget on 22nd June (to feed back directly to the new Cabinet) and what business support services should definitely be saved if the inevitable cuts are to fall.
The survey will take five minutes of your time and is extremely valuable in letting business, local authorities - and the media alike - know what is really happening in the Northamptonshire economy.
