Opportunities in Kuwait reception to take place on 21st April
A networking reception exploring the opportunities in Kuwait has been organised by The Arab British Chamber of Commerce and will take place in Upper Grosvenor Street, London from 3.30pm to 6pm.
Home to about 8% of the world's oil reserves, Kuwait has, in recent years, witnessed rapid and vast economic growth.
The petroleum industry in particular accounts for approximately 50% of national GDP. Plans are in place to work on diversifying Kuwait's economy and expanding the current financial sector in the country. Its plans have so far pledged up to $140 billion in the coming 5 years, to reduce the country's reliance on the oil sector and boost the private sector's participation in the national economy.
This oil-rich economy is heavily dependent on imports and represents a good and varied market for UK exporters, with opportunities in:
- Oil and gas
- Construction
- Financial services
- Environment
