Latest London 2012 Tender Opportunities: Medical Equipment
The Chamber is publicising the latest Olympic Games business opportunities on our website, so Members from a whole host of sectors will be aware of the commercial contracts being tendered. In order to benefit from these opportunities, Member companies should register themselves on the CompeteFor website, where buyers for the Games will be looking for potential suppliers.
The latest opportunities for business are as follows:
Medical Equipment: Emergency
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) invite expressions of interest for the supply of medical equipment to the emergency service department.
Emergency equipment will be supplied in three types of medical kits (which will be used to treat different level of injuries), scoop stretchers, pat slides and other essential equipment commonly found in the provision of emergency medical services. The supplier (suppliers) should be able to supply emergency medical equipment packs customised exactly to LOCOG's requirements.
The supplier (suppliers) should also be able to provide a stock supply of individual items for the replenishment of these medical packs. The bulk delivery is expected before the start of the Games in June 2012. The exact volume of the equipment has yet been finalised but current estimates indicate volumes of 600 individual response bags, 200 intermediate medical bags and 80 advanced trauma bags. The supplier (suppliers) should be able to provide sufficient equipment across competition and non-competition venues across the UK. All equipment needs to be CE and MHRA certified.

Medical Furniture
Descriptions: LOCOG is looking to appoint a supplier (or suppliers) to supply medical grade furniture to be used in the Polyclinics and venues across the UK. Medical Furniture includes dressing trolleys, plinths, screens, hospital beds, medical chairs, foot stands, cabinets for pharmacy and wheelchairs.
