In November some 30 Northamptonshire food professionals attended a free half day course from Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited (NEL) which outlined the hidden potential profit in catering businesses and the possibilities of reducing unexpected overheads.
Together with People 1st and Stonebow, NEL will be re-running the Focus on Food Profit training course on 24 March 2010 at MoultonCollege in Northampton.
The course is FREE for businesses in Northamptonshire – maximum 2 delegates per business – and aims to enable venues to ensure food sales are delivering the maximum profit return. It is designed for owners, managers, heads of department, chefs, team leaders and those responsible for training, purchasing, selling and quality within food businesses.
The objectives of the programme are as follows:
- Understand the importance of making profits from your food practices
- Know the potential causes of profit reductions
- Understand the main points of profit generation
- Be familiar with the causes of wastage
