Discus Group of Northampton wins third manufacturing order from Disney
Having successfully delivered the second significant order last month for Disney a third order has followed hot on its heels for Northampton company Discus Group.
Each of the three orders has been for the replication of 3000 CD audio books, all packed in paper wallets with a self adhesive backing. The discs were produced using injection moulding and were then offset litho printed and then exported to Iceland.
Over the last year the company has seen export orders growing due to the weakening of the British pound, which has helped to continue the growth of the company during what have been challenging times.
Andrew Roberts of Discus Group commented: "About 12 - 24 months ago our company sought to open more export channels as the drop in the value of the pound opened up more opportunities. We now have a number of contracts with Icelandic bands, recording studios and other companies and it is our strong presence that led to the approach to manufacture these titles for Disney.
"We put the quality of our products, attention to detail and high level of service to the reason why we seem to be winning contracts from Disney and other major media industry clients."
