The Association of Building Engineers (ABE) is to hold a conference in Northampton on 17 February 2010 looking at the latest research released by the NHBC Foundation in association with ABE, which considers piled foundations for low-rise housing developments.
The report explores various design approaches and the associated environmental and economic advantages and the launch event provides an opportunity for interested parties - including housebuilders, consultants, piling contractors and building control bodies - to learn about the findings of the report directly from experts involved in the research.
The event will introduce the findings and explain both the research and process involved. In addition, the issues relating to legislation, guidance and the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the development process will be addressed.
The presentation is complemented by an update on current foundation issues and requirements by NHBC.
For further information, see the event flyer.
